Today the weather is wet and drizzly. I have to say that I love this weather. You know - the grilled cheese and soup while you sit by the fire reading a book kind of day, as long as you don't have to go anywhere. It so reminds me of Holland, and it illustrated to me how relative perspective is. Tuesday night, while it poured outside I had to work up the motivation to get in the car and drive the 35 minutes down to Laveen for a meeting I had. Navigating through my kinda working windshield wipers while silently cursing the other drivers on the freeway who have NO idea how to drive with even the slightest precipitation, did not really help my mood until all of a sudden I thought back. I remembered how it was sometimes hard to get the motivation to go out against the elements in Holland, and yet then, I had to go by bike. All of a sudden, driving my car in the rain didn't seem nearly that bad, and I could actually laugh at how silly it all was. It all comes down to Perspective!
Anyway, here are a few more pictures as I try to catch up.
Fun with cousins.

Keiric loves his bear Slugger, (though it has recently been replaced by a teddy bear he got from his Sunday School teacher and he named it Tigger.)

Jeremy and I used the Culture Passes from the Phoenix library to take the kids to the art museum. We all had a good time.

Keiric got to use an Etch-a-Sketch for the first time - he was mesmerized.

Kaylie, our little aritist, loved all the hands on activities.

At Kaylie's school for Thanksgiving they had each of the kids in the school write on a "feather" what they are thankful for. Kaylie's said: "I'm thankful for my little brother. I'm also thankful for my family. I'm thankful for friends. I'm thankful for Miss Peters too." (Miss Peters is Kaylie's teacher.)

Then they stapled each of the "feathers" onto this turkey.

We went out to eat with friends for Jeremy's birthday. We gave hime the chair in front of the picture of Clinton who had apparently had lunch there while president. Yeah, I know... we didn't care either.

After celebrating here, we went out to California for Jeremy's birthday and Thanksgiving. These are gifts that the kiddos and their cousins wrapped up for him. He such a good sport!

We had the chance to see Jeremy's grandparents on our trip out there too.

We took the kids to see Alvin and the Chipmunks and Keiric ran over to the statues and asked to take a picture. How cute is he?!

Coming Soon: Pictures of our Thanksgiving in the snow.
